Your customers stay with you
Everything on your own device
Your cards, notes, follow-up dates and tabs are kept in your own browser’s storage (IndexedDB), on this device. They do not go to a server of ours or anyone else’s. Kaartenbak does not even have a server that could receive them.
You are the controller
Your customers’ names, numbers, addresses and notes are personal data. For that data you are the controller under the GDPR, not nealvdv: Kaartenbak is a tool on your device. Keep only what you need.
What you pass on yourself
A CSV, vCard, calendar file or backup is an ordinary file in your downloads. If you pass it on or put it in the cloud, it goes through your mail or your storage, and their rules apply.
Technical logs
Like every web server, our host keeps short technical logs (such as the IP address and time of a page visit) to keep the site running safely. No card is in them. We do not use those logs to follow visitors.
Bureel Plus
If you connect Kaartenbak to Bureel Plus, your browser keeps a proof signed by Bureel. It only says whether you have Plus, until when, and a pseudonym for Kaartenbak; never your e-mail address, and never a customer. Kaartenbak checks it in your browser. With Disconnect or Forget everything it is gone.
